LANCASHIRE LIBRARIES COMPETITION

I entered a competition with the Lancashire County Council to design the characters for their Summer Reading Scheme for children. My entry won and has since been used across the Lancashire Libraries advertising for the scheme, and the designs are used in the booklets that the children use to track their tasks and books for the scheme. This entry is one of my proudest achievements and to work with the people at Lancs County Council has been a pleasure and honour.

Above is the entry I submitted to the Council, excluding the final contact details page. I designed each of the characters and created a sample booklet, poster and hand out materials to showcase how the designs could be used.

Since winning this competition, I have had the privilege to visit a local primary school to talk about the SCART Club and about what being a Games Design student is like. It was a great experience to interact with the children who had amazing questions and made me feel incredibly welcome and made me promise if I ever became a famous designer to remember them. Shoutout to St Wilfrid's Primary School Year 6 of 2018, you guys are awesome!
